Hihi Again,

It’s Sunday, And I’m Codeing looots of java, and probably will be untill the early hours of monday morning.. (uni work deadline tomorrow).
Other than that, Our new guy started in IT on thursday, and so I was in on Thursday and Friday to show him around;
Seems like a decent guy, and definatley knows his stuff, so all in all im happy with it, should releave a lot of IT related load off me, allowing me to cencentrate on server and network development. Still need to set him proper permissions up and deligate the parts of the AD tree I want him to use… But all in time.

Went home for a family birthday last night, Had a few beers and crashed at mine. Woke up this morning, ready to drive back to uni, to find a flat tyre :P (biig screw was the culprit) luckily the spare was in good nick and its got me back to uni after stopping for air and petrol.

Still have not heard from SUN, were meant to be calling me on Friday evening.. Hopefully i’ll hear something tomorrow *fingers crossed*

Anyway, back to the java!

Note for today, never underestimate people accidentally minimizing things to throw your step by step ‘for staff’ howto’s off course.

GRRRR! Thats all I can think of right now. AND!! I wanted to get all my stuff back upto uni tomorrow but instead ive got the guy comeing round to look at the car in the morning.. Then need to go into work due to mikes continued problem.

There is hope in the form of a maintenance release with some bugfixes for our e-mail server…. hopefully!!! *fingers crossed*

Everyone gottit wrong! Computers obviously dont hold one ascii char in 8 bits, they hold it in like 7.5. Which means what everyone thaught was going to happen at the millenium, is happening today!

• My Cars Broken
• Adams 7900 Graphics card has died
• Neils computer is borked
• Mike’s E-mails at work are being irrational
• My phone batteries died and the charger is aaaaaallll the way over the other side of the room

Dunno whats up with my car, Got in it today, windscreen wipers were going, so went to switch them off.. and apparently they already are! no matter where I move the windscreen wiper level too, they stay at the same speed. Finally turned them off by turning my heater fans off! Seems that my heater fan control now operates my windscreen wipers! oh.. and the next time i got in my car, the same happens, but now the fans don’t come on at the same time, so everything steamed up, was cold AND freezing my tits off!!

Anyway, Been in work again today, Started deploying a remote inventory system (http://ocsinventory.sourceforge.net/ If your interested) It also seems to support package creation and deployment, which would be cool if i could just set up windows and the client for this on new hardware, and then let this deployment system do everything else! Anyway, will keep you posted on if its any good.

Gonna go talk to some MSN people now… Oh, by the way, changed my MSN email address. If you havn’t got it try e-mailing the old one! and i’ll reply.
